The Southern Plains Area (SPA) Administrative Officer provides advice, guidance, coordination and support to 19 SPA locations in Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Panama and serves as Location Administrative Officer for the College Station, TX location. This involves financial management, human resources, contracting and procurement, computer, health/safety/environmental, and engineering support. The Area Administrative Officer also serves as the Designated Area Ethics Advisor for SPA.

Grants/Agreements:Responsible for Grants and Agreements with cooperators such as public and private entities. For example, Grants, Assistance Cooperative Agreements, and Specific Cooperative Agreements; Trust Funds Agreements, and Reimbursable Cooperative Agreements; Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) such as Standard Cooperative Agreements, Individual MOUs, and Standard MOUs; non-extramural type of agreements include the Research Support Agreements.
